Graphic Information

If you will be sending us a logo, it should be black and white line art preferably in a vector format (eps / ai). We can accept .cdr (CorelDRAW) as well. Some quality image files such as: JPEG or GIF can produce nice results. We'll let you know if we require a better image.

In order to obtain absolutely perfect results, it's imperative that you supply us with high quality images. If you'll be scanning an original photograph, please scan it at least 300dpi with high color, or grayscale (no black and white). Please do not scan photocopied images, home-printed digital images, newspaper graphics, postcards, magazine photos, letter heads, business cards, or anything other than an original photo. Please make certain that your photo is large enough to be engraved on the item that you're purchasing. If you have a small photo and it has very sharp clarity, we may be able to increase the size.

The best image’s to send are digital. These images, typically in .jpg format, are usually very high resolution (detail); therefore, can be manipulated quite a bit.

Please keep in mind that if your graphic needs modification, we will have to charge a one time fee.

Laser engraving custom images on stainless steel, aluminum, marble, ceramic tile or any other material that cannot produce depth, requires the graphical image to be absolutely perfect in order to obtain good results.

If you will be sending (mailing) us your photo, please make certain that it's an original. We cannot accept photocopied, newspaper, magazine, letter-heads, business cards, or postcard photos. If your photo is irreplaceable, we do not recommend that you send it to us, please have someone digitally scan your photo and email it to us. Please make certain that your image has good separation of the subject, and the background. Try to avoid someone wearing dark clothing standing in a shadow, this type of photo does not work well at all.

The perfect type of image to engrave is an image that has bright colors, with plenty of separation (contrast) between subjects as well as proper shading and highlights; mainly when dealing with facial characteristics and textures. Another important thing to keep in mind is the type of material you will be having your photo engraved on. If the engraved product is metal, ceramic, acrylic, colored plastic, or some other type of material that won't allow for darkening to display the depth of the original photograph, it is very important that your photograph contains exceptional detail and contrast. If the engraved product is wood, leather, paper, or textiles, the original image can lack in some of the detail and contrast. If you're not sure if your image will perform as well as you'd like, please send us your photo and we will evaluate it, free of charge.

Please keep in mind that lasers do not produce images in color.
